The latest version adds support for Mac OS 10.6, as well as providing updated specimen layouts and new customization features.
Veenix TypeBook Creator allows Mac users to create and print type specimen books and font sample sheets of their fonts. The utility features automatic font categorization, 16 page layouts and customization options, as well as the ability to print both active and inactive fonts. The utility's GlyphLogic engine analyzes fonts as they are added to the database and categorizes them into one or more of the following optically-derivative categories: Text Fonts, Serif and Flare Fonts, Sans Serif Font, Picture, Script & Thematic Fonts, Condensed and Narrow Fonts, Expanded and Wide Fonts, Monospaced Fonts, Inline & Outline Fonts, Shadow & 3D Fonts, Initial, Drop & Small Caps Fonts, Expert and Fraction Fonts, and Math & Pi Fonts.
New in version 1.9 are specimen layouts recoded using Apple's latest font and text imaging technologies, Core Text, as well as several additional customization features.
A Studio version of TypeBook Creator, which supports up to 20,000 fonts, can be purchased for $49.95 on the Veenix Software site, while a Corporate version, priced at $99.95, supports a font database of unlimited size.
